October will be an exciting month ahead! Fall has arrived! We will go outside everyday weather permitting, please make sure your child is wearing gym shoes for indoor and outdoor play. Please label all coats, sweatshirts and jackets.
 
October 2nd will be Police Safety day! Officer Donnan from the Mokena Police Department will be here to talk to the children about Halloween safety, and the role of a Police Officer in the community. October 9th is our Treasure Hunt Day with Pumpkin picking at the Little Blossom Patch! Each child will pick a pumpkin to bring home. October 12th between 9am and Noon is Parent - Teacher Conferences. These conferences are for parents and teachers only, and run 10 minutes long. We ask all parents to arrive 5 minutes prior to their time to keep the schedule on time. October 16th is our Fire Safety Day! We will have a special visitor Marshall the Fire Dog, who will be here to sing and dance with the children.
 
October 23rd and 24th are the Little Blossom Halloween parties! Each class will have a Halloween Party - Please send store purchased indivdiually wrapped treats or toys only. Class counts have been emailed to all families. On our Halloween party days, bring your child's costume in a bag clearly marked with your child's name. On October 31st, Little Blossom will close early at 3pm. 




Looking Ahead: In November, we will experience our Native American Pow-Wow and learn why we give thanks for our families and friends at Thanksgiving. Little Blossom will be closed on
November 28th and November 29th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.


Show and Tell is on Friday, or the last day of the week your child attends. Please limit your child's choice to one show and tell. Please NO cloth/stuffed animals.

For special event or party days, children who attend part-time will celebrate on their
scheduled day. Children who attend full-time will celebrate on the first day.

 
We asked that all children stay home if they have the following symptoms: Cough/Sore Throat, Runny nose that is green or yellow in color, Loose stool, A temperature of 100.3 or higher, vomitting, unkown rash.
